I'm Jo McMahon. What inspired me to start making bespoke Irish wood signs is my husband's roots in Lissycasey, Co Clare to honor his heritage. I often use a classic green and gold theme to capture that traditional spirit, pouring heart and soul into every piece for you.

Our Story
My journey started back in 2022 when I opened my Etsy shop, making little rustic wood signs. I started out small and it took me a couple of years to find my feet in between running a busy family home. My husband suggested making some Irish signs in green and gold, so I sourced all the right materials to get the look I wanted. Those Irish signs quickly became my best sellers and, over the last couple of years, they still are. I never dreamed how popular they would become. Welcome to McMahons Irish Signs!
To make these signs, I use timber spruce boards, Farrow & Ball rich dark green paint, and a top-quality brushed gold hard-wearing vinyl. I was so chuffed with the results — they looked even better than I imagined. The gold vinyl works beautifully with the dark green and really shimmers when the light hits it.
I sell on Etsy and eBay and have created many bespoke orders through Instagram. Now I’m ready to take my Irish signs to the next level because I truly love making them — they bring me so much joy. My husband is Irish and I’ve visited Ireland many times, I’ve fallen in love with their heritage and everything about Ireland.
